Boy Flier Off On Last Lap. Schneider Leaves Wichita for New York. Wichita, Kansas; August 23, 1930 (Associated Press) Eddie Schneider, 18-year-old Jersey City youth seeking a junior west-to-east transcontinental record, left here at 6 o'clock (Central Standard Time) this morning. He hopes to reach New York today and set a new mark. The young flier planned to reach New York without stopping en route if possible Schneider left Los Angeles Thursday and stopped overnight in Albuquerque, New Mexico on his way here. His total elapsed time to Wichita was 13 hours and 40 minutes, well under the time required by the late Frank Goldsborough, whose junior west-east record of 28 hours and 55 minutes Schneider hopes to eclipse.

Works copyrighted before 1964 had to have the copyright renewed sometime in the 28th year. If the copyright was not renewed, the work is in the public domain. No renewal notice was found for this periodical for issues published in this year. For instance, the first New York Times issue renewed was from April 1, 1928. Some publications may have renewed an individual article from an earlier time, for instance the New York Times renewed at least one article published on January 9, 1927. If you find any contrary evidence, or the renewal database has been updated, please notify me.</nowiki> No renewal notices have been found for articles supplied by the Associated Press to subscribing newspapers.
