Description
English: A plane director signals to the pilot of a Grumman F-14A Tomcat of Fighter Squadron 41 "Black Aces" as other flight deck crewmen prepare the aircraft for catapulting from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) in the Mediterranean Sea on 1 February 1983. VF-41 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) aboard the Nimitz for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 10 November 1982 to 20 May 1983.
