Description
English: Sylmar, CA, March 12, 2009 — Press Conference presentation in California. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa thanks CalEMA Deputy State Coordinating Officer Tom Maruyama, as FEMA Federal Coordinating Officer Mark Neveau looks on. They are in front of a flag firefighters saved during the November 2008 Station Fire (wildfire) that destroyed most of the Oakridge Mobile Home Park in Sylmar, California.
  • The firefighters presented the flag as a symbol of hope for the displaced residents. Oakridge lost 500 of the 600 homes in the park.
