Avec cette œuvre, Chikubōsai combine deux techniques de tressage. La partie inférieure est réalisée dans un style uni nommé gozame-ami, dans lequel la trame alterne sur et sous la chaîne. Le haut de la vannerie utilise la technique magaki-ami, tressage à raies, dans laquelle les fragments de flèches sont maintenus côte à côte par des petits nœuds de rotin. L'ouvrage est terminé avec une anse en bambou naturel.
