Description
Français : Photographie des sédiments proches de la berge (rive gauche) du fond de la partie aval de la Haute-Deûle (secteur Lille/Lambersart) dans le Nord de la France.

Cette photo a été faite un jour où l'eau de la Deûle (rivière canalisée) était inhabituellement claire (car sans circulation de péniche ni ouverture d'écluse, le 11 novembre 2014).

Les courants et contrecourants générés par les éclusées et les remous des hélices de péniches ont creusé le sédiment de manière différentiée, après des travaux de renforcement des berges.
English: Photography of sediment near the bank (left bank) of the bottom of the downstream portion of the Upper-Deûle (Lille / Lambersart area) in northern France. This photo was made on a day when channeled Deûle was unusually clear (no barge traffic or sluice opening, November 11, 2014). And currents generated by contrecourants hydropeaking and propeller wash barges dug sediment so differentiated, after building work on banks.
