English: In Nov-02 MyTravel Airways set up a 'low-cost' operation in Birmingham, UK (BHX) called 'MyTravel Lite' to counter new low-cost' airlines such as easyJet. We all know who won that one! This aircraft, originally owned by leasing company Orix Aircraft Corp, really lived life to the full during it's 22 year career. It first flew in May-91 and was leased to Mexicana in Dec-91 as N230RX. It moved on to a new Greek company (which vanished as quickly as it appeared) called South East European Airways, in May-94 as SX-BSJ and was sub-leased to, and operated for Ambassador Airways in the UK for that summer and returned to the lessor at the end of Oct-94. SEEA was never heard of again! After a short period in storage it moved on to Oman Aviation Services, as Oman Air was then known, as A40-MA. It operated with Oman Air until Feb-99 when it was leased to Airtours International Airways as G-BYFS. It only stayed as G-BYFS for a month until it was transferred to Airtours new German affiliate, flyFTI (Frosch Touristic Intl), as D-AFRO. This is also why it has a red 'cheatline' and winglets instead of the standard Airtours turquoise. In Nov-01 it was returned to Airtours and immediately leased to Skyservice Canada for the winter as C-GTDO, returning to Airtours in Apr-02 as G-SSAS. It operated with Airtours/MyTravel/My Travel Lite until it was returned to the lessor in Apr-06. Immediately leased to Donbassaero as UR-DAB it operated with them until Jan-13. It was sold to the Jet Midwest Group in Apr-13 as N790JM and was broken up at Kansas City, MO, USA, in Jun/Jul-13.
