|1=This scan is from a copy of the second edition (1885) of Italian Pictures, drawn with pen and pencil by Samuel Manning. (Commons cat). The book has been scanned and made available by the British Library as part of the Mechanical Curator collection donated to Flickr Commons.

The engraving also appeared in the original 1870 edition of the book, on page 163 (Internet Archive).
The engraving earlier appeared, slightly less cropped, as "Maison de Lucretius" in Pompéi et les Pompéiens by Marc Monnier (1864), which was serialised in the journal Le Tour du Monde (vol. 10, p. 404 - wikisource). In an English version, The Wonders of Pompeii (1870), the engraving appears as "House of Lucretius" (cropped as here) opposite page 169 (Internet Archive).

According to Le Tour du Monde the drawing is by Hubert Clerget, after a photograph.
Stockshot site 123rf credits the image to Clerget and Henri Hildibrand.}}
