Deutsch: Ferry Ahrlé mit Gemalte Musik "Die Schottische Sinfonie"
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847) Sinfonie Nr. 3 in a-Moll op. 56 (Schottische) Ferry Ahrlé schreibt zu seinem Gemälde: “Ich glaube, ich habe heut da den Anfang meiner Schottischen Symphonie gefunden“, schreibt Mendelssohn nach dem Besuch des alten Stuart - Schlosses in Holyrood in Schottland. Genau wie bei seiner “Italienischen Sinfonie“ ließ er sich durch Reiseeindrücke zu seiner Musik inspirieren und begeistert durch seine reichen melodischen Erfindungen. Der Atmosphäre seiner Komposition entsprechen im Bild das alte Schloss mit den von Bergen umschlossenen dunklen Seen und den in blau-schwarz gehaltenen Geistern in der Vergangenheit.
