Description
English: This plate with a depressed center depicts Alexander and Diogenes. It is painted in blue, turquoise-blue, green, yellow, ochre, tan, brown, black and opaque white. At the left, Diogenes sits in front of a tub reading. At the right, Alexander on horseback with three companions, stops between Diogenes and the sun. In the center is a large tree. There is a landscape in the background. The back is white stained with green and has one raised circle at the rim. In the center in blue is "1534/÷Alisandro·Magnio·/in urbino."
