Summary[edit]

Description
English: Audio file of Australian birds, Golden Whistler and Grey Shrike-thrush. The Golden Whistler is the chief subject of the recording, while the Grey Shrike-thrush interposes its particularly beautiful call a couple of times, including right at the end of the recording. An unidentified bird also interrupts proceedings but it is fairly quiet, so doesn't detract from the main calls. (I hope) The original recording was made on a Sony MiniDisc Recorder, using a Sony stereo microphone. The location was in the Cataract River gorge at Douglas Park, N.S.W., Australia, to the south-west of the urban area of Sydney.
