Summary[edit]

Description
English: Looking east across at what was once Grand Canal Court park, at the northeast corner of 6th Avenue and Canal Street at the end of Thompson Street in SoHo / Hudson Square / Tribeca, Manhattan. The Parks Department basketball court was destroyed in order to construct a new substation for the Canal Street IND subway station underneath. Note the blue MTA signage stating that the new substation will support a "new train control system", the implementation of Communications-Based Train Control on the IND 8th Avenue, Queens Boulevard, and Culver Lines.
