Deutsch: Blick von Oberstrom, linkes Ufer, auf die Straßen- und Eisenbahnbrücke Maxau bei Karlsruhe. Es handelt sich um eine 1947 errichtete Dauerbehelfsbrücke aus Stahl (St. 37), 305 m lang auf Pfählen (Stahlrohre) gegründet, als Ersatz für die 1945 zerstörte Rheinbrücke. Man erkennt deutlich die Schutzbauten gegen Anfahrten von Schiffen vor den Pfeilern.
English: View from Oberstrom, left bank, of the Maxau road and railway bridge near Karlsruhe. It is a temporary makeshift bridge made of steel (St. 37), built in 1947, 305 m long on piles (steel pipes), as a replacement for the Rhine bridge destroyed in 1945. You can clearly see the protective structures against the approach of ships in front of the pillars. |
