DescriptionHoe Den Helder er uit ziet Weeknummer 46-07 - Open Beelden - 24683.ogv |
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The naval base Den Helder has been heavily damaged during World War II. Houses have been demolished and in places where there used to be residential areas, the terrain lies fallow. Heaps of rubble or remains of bunkers are everywhere. The chief of the American Red Cross, Giblin, pays a visit to Den Helder, lays a wreath at a memorial sign and hands out presents to the citizens.
