Description

Descripción original (NASA): A principios de mayo de 2003, las fuertes lluvias en Argentina provocaron inundaciones devastadoras que desplazaron a 35.000 personas y causaron la muerte de más de 25 en la provincia de Santa Fe. Las inundaciones pueden verse en esta imagen en falso color adquirida el 8 de mayo de 2003 por el Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) a bordo de la nave espacial Terra de la NASA.

Pueden observarse los ríos y afluentes de la región mucho más crecidos de lo normal. El agua está en color negro. Las nubes aparecen en azul pálido y blanco, y la vegetación es verde y amarilla.
