| Description |
English: The monument of Nicolaus Copernicus in Kraków was created in 1899 by Cyprian Godebskiego and on 8 June 1900 was formally unveiled in the courtyard of the Collegium Maius of the Jagiellonian University. In 1953, at the initiative of Charles Estreicher, the monument was transferred to Planty at the Collegium Witkowski of the Jagiellonian University where it stands today. [The monument was originally designed as a fountain.]
The Scotch Mist Gallery contains many photographs of historic buildings, monuments and memorials of Poland. Polski: Pomnik Mikołaja Kopernika w Krakowie powstał w 1899 według projektu Cypriana Godebskiego, a 8 czerwca 1900 roku został uroczyście odsłonięty na dziedzińcu Collegium Maius Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. W 1953 roku z inicjatywy Karola Estreichera pomnik został przeniesiony na Planty przy Collegium Witkowskiego Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, gdzie stoi do dziś. [Pomnik został zaprojektowany jako fontanna.] Galeria Mist Scotch zawiera wiele zdjęć zabytkowych budowli, pomników i miejsc pamięci w Polsce. |
