Reeker, Counselor for Public Affairs, U.S. Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq, hands out donated soccer equipment to local Iraqi's, Dec. 30, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, as U.S. Army Col. Guy C. Beougher, Director of Sustainment Fusion, Multi-National Force-Iraq, and Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports, Jasim Muhammad Jafar, look on. The soccer equipment was donated by the Colorado Rush Youth Soccer Club to the children of Iraq. The Rush were assisted by other 'Rush's' from New Mexico, Texas, Virginia, Alaska, Hawaii, Michigan, and Pikes Peak. The Rush collected 20,000 soccer balls, shoes and uniforms for Iraqi children. The equipment was sent to the U.S. Military who turned it over to the Iraqi Ministry of Youth And Sports for distribution. |
