Have you not heard thatMessiah has come ? I have followed Him up anddown the country, and know whereof I speak. At a word from Him the dumb sing, the blindsee, and the lame walk. I was lame myself, andHe made rne as you see me now. Joel drew himself up to his fullest height.Simon looked at him, completely puzzled. Why did you take the trouble to come andtell me that, — a poor despised leper ? he finallyasked. Because I want everybody else to be ashappy as I am. He cured me. He gave meback my strength. Then why should not myfeet be always swift to bring others to Him forthe same happy healing ? He Himself goesabout all the time doing good. I know there ishope for you, for I have seen Him cleanse lepers/ Simon trembled, as the full meaning of thehope held out to him began to make itself clear

Takethat road that leads into Bethany. Come earlyin the morning, and as we all pass that way, callto Him. He never refuses any who have faith tobelieve that He can grant what they ask. When Joel was half-way down the hill, heturned back. If He should not pass on themorrow, he said, do not fail to be there on thesecond day. We will surely leave here soon. Simon stood in bewilderment till the boy hadpassed down the hill; he began to fear
