Summary[edit]

Description
English: Bearers of the crown-jewels, who immediately preceded the catafalque to the cemetery. The figure at the left is the Honorable John Baker, former governor of the Island of Hawaii, under Kalakaua, and the man who was chosen to pose for the statue of Kamehameha I, which now stands before the Judiciary Building in Honolulu. The man at the right is Lieutenant Oku, of the Imperial Japanese Navy, with the decoration presented to Her Majesty by the Mikado of Japan.
