Summary[edit]

Description
English: Requiem is a French 3D computer-animated short film created by Joshua Why.

Requiem takes place in a futuristic and dystopian society. It is a personal project that aims to offer a perspective on our societies.

The project was designed to tell a story from a single perspective in the middle of a street conflict. I desired the video to be as immersive as possible, and the long shot seemed to be the most effective approach for this effect. Moreover, the idea of working on a 3D video without any cuts was really exciting.

With Requiem, I tried to create an environment that is more than a real place, a potential space between reality and virtuality. An environment of light and atmosphere, almost minimal.
