Description

La tombe de Saïd Allaudin date de l'ère mongole.

Elle a été bâtie au 14ème siècle autour du tombeau du maître soufi Saïd Allah ad-Din (mort en 1303), c'est la plus ancienne construction de Khiva.

Pour les mausolées de ce type, l'architecture sacrée islamique allie le cube et le dôme, deux formes fondamentales héritées de Byzance, qui symbolisent les liens entre la terre et le ciel et tracent la voie que le saint a suivi pour se rapprocher d'Allah.
