English: Leishmaniasis in a dog. Bone marrow smear showing Leishmania donovani[1] parasites in a bone marrow histiocyte from a dog (Giemsa stain).
  1. ↑ Since the image is dated 1979, most probably the dog parsite would now be classified as Leishmania infantum, formerly considered to be a subspecies, L. donovani infantum.
