Description
English: An article about Leon Chazanovitz in Petrograd in the beginning of 1918, written by Matityahu Minc in 'Iyunim Bitkumat Israel' (studies in Israeli and modern Jewish society), which was a multidisciplinary journal, published annually by the Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and Zionism, Sede-Boker.

The journal held two series: the first was an annual collection of research articles that specialized in modern Jewish society, Israeli society and state. The articles addressed these issues from a variety of disciplines, such as history, sociology, philosophy, politics, economics, culture, geography, art and gender.

The second series was thematic. Each of its issues was dedicated to a significant current topic, within the journal’s fields of interest. This two-series format – the annual journal and the thematic one – provided an invigorating and on-going platform for discussing the most prominent questions of state, society and culture in Israel.
