la disposition offerte par lesarborisations de ces corpuscules cellulaires^ cest leur aplatis-sement et leur orientation transversale parfaite ; de sorte quesi la lamelle cérébelleuse est coupée selon son axe longitu-dinal, toutes les cellules de Purkinje et leurs arborisations semontrent de profil. Dailleurs, un semblable aplatissementtransversal avait été déjà indiqué par Henle et Obersteiner. Le cylindre axe des cellules de Purkinje acquiert dès son débutune gaine de myéline et descend jusquà la substance blanche.Dans son trajet et au niveau des deux ou trois étranglementsde la couche médullaire^ il émet quelques collatérales ascen-dantes qui, en se ramifiant dans la région inférieure de lacouche moléculaire, constituent une arborisation en grande CERVELET partie longitudinale. Ces fibres, qui touchent en plusieurspoints aux rameaux de différentes cellules de Purkinje, serventprobablement à établir entre ces cellules une certaine solidaritédaction (fig. S o).
