Aureliuskirche, Lindenberg im Allgäu, Bavaria, Germany


Deutsch: Reliquenschrein des St.-Theodor-Altars (südlicher Seitenaltar). Die Reliquen des St. Theodor und weiterer Heiliger wurden im Auftrag des Pfarrers Wettach von Armand Schmadel, damals Student am Deutschen Kolleg in Rom, am 26. Mai 1775 nach Lindenberg gebracht. Die Reliquien wurden der Pricilla-Katakombe im Norden Roms an der Via Salaria entnommen. Sie wurden zunächst beim Benedicta-Altar mit untergebracht, erhielten jedoch 1805 einen eigenen Schrein am inneren rechten Seitenaltar. Die Fassung des Haupts wurde von den Gold-, Silber- und Seidenstickerinnen Maria Margaretha, Maria Barbaa und Johanna Kuhn in Bregenz für 100 Gulden gefertigt.
