En-gineer Battersby is here shown with mate.who has had this engine some years. Onthe large photo it might be worthy of note,Engineer L. Longcake is in charge. Helos~t both feet in 1874, but still manages,by artificial feet, to occasionally mountthe foot-plate. He is here seen nearerecting shop, at some period when theengine has undergone repairs. Shouldyou wish to produce this in condensedform in Locomotive Engineering, youare at liberty to do so.
