Description |
English: ~~19th-century copper-alloy circular relief-decorated double-sided medal. The obverse features two figures lying prone with pointing rifles on a background of flag flying at full mast and campaign type tent, foreground of ribbon type cartouche which may have originally borne an inscription, but this is now illegible. The reverse face has a surround of laurel wreath in horse shoe shape open at top with bottom central tie, enclosing the inscription - PLYMOUTH MUSKETS WON BY NRS? CROUCH. Diameter: 28.8mm Thickness: 2mm Weight: 8.82g. |
