Français : Machines a ecrire, musee d'Art et d'Histoire de Neuchatel
English: The Edison Mimeograph typewriter, an early index typewriter, in musee d'Art et d'Histoire de Neuchatel. Despite the name, it was not made by Thomas A. Edison, but by the A. B. Dick Co. beginning 1892. To operate, you turn the dial to the correct letter and press the middle key on the left to type it. It was first produced to cut stencils for the Edison mimeograph machine, also made by Dick, then sold as a general typewriter. It was a failure, and was discontinued after a few years.
