As far as Liebermann was concerned, the futureof the Secession was not to be Hke that/ WithLeistikow, Ury, Slevogt, Corinth and the othertoreadors who raUied round his standard in the earlydays, he was doomed to be excoriated as conservativeto the point of reaction by the rising generation ofhotspurs.
