Description
English: Messkirch around 1575, watercolour, 46 x 65 cm
Deutsch: Vogelschau des Ortes Meßkirch, Aquarell 46 x 65 cm. Aussehen der Stadt wie sie Froben Christoph hinterlassen hat. Ca. 9 Jahre nach seinem Tod und dem Abschluß der Zimmerischen Chronik. Oben zu erkennen die 1550 begonnene Vorstadt mit dem Neuen Spital und der Weisenburg, wie in der Zimmerischen Chronik beschrieben: Zimmerische Chronik:Band 4:Seite 40 f. Ebenfalls gut zu erkennen, das von Froben Christoph im italienischen Stil umgebaute vierflügelige Schloss, sowie die von Gottfried Werner errichtete spätgotische St. Martinskirche.
