It is with pleasure that we here record the fact that our 1912High School Class and their debating team, James A. Bullockand Irvin R. Tippetts, have the place of honor on the covetedtrophy. Among the events of vital importance in our class his-tory was the announcement handed down by the judges on thetenth day of March, 1912, in favor of the affirmative at the closeof the most important debate in our class life, that the vexedand perplexing question which for decades had been puzzlingthe Solons and Websters of the United States Congress—Re-solved, that the U. Now behold, it came to pass in the ninth year of the reignof the righteous Judge Brimhall of the B. Y. U., there arose amighty class of 12s, of the tribe of Stringham. 2. And it came to pass that they walked in the ways of theirruler, and because of their righteousness, they gained much fa-vor in the sight of their Judge. 3. Lo, and behold, because of their righteousness, it came topass that they gathered together for a time of rejoicing. 4. And it came to pass, while they were thus gathered to-gether, the mighty hosts of the College, of the tribe of Beeley,rebelled against the 12s, in so much that they refused to letthe 12s take instructions on their land, which is to the north-ward, on a narrow neck of land called Temple Hill. 5.
