Description
English: U.S. Navy sailors demonstrate the operation of the mobile crash crane during a crash and salvage drill as part of a family "Tiger Cruise" aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68), 8 December 2017, in the Pacific Ocean. The aircraft is a retired McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C-23-MC Hornet (BuNo 163449). Nimitz, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11), was deployed to the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean from 1 June to 10 December 2017.
