English: Mural allusive to the Holocaust in the IES Jiménez de la Espada in Cartagena (Spain), located on a wall that faces Carlos III Street.
Through symbolism some scenes of life in the Nazi concentration camps are shown. Starting from the left, a column of people accesses the confinement center under a fox. In the central part several locomotives are shown as those that transported prisoners to the camps, and among the smoke produced by these appears an inverted red triangle. This emblem was reserved for political prisoners in the Nazi identification system, and the letter was used to show the origin of the detainee. In this case, the S pointed to those who carried it as Spanish Republicans (Republikanische Spanier). The mural continues with an allegory of forced labor in the quarries, and concludes with a series of cubic objects suspended in the air.Español: Mural alusivo al Holocausto en el IES Jiménez de la Espada de Cartagena (España), situado en un muro que da a la calle Carlos III.
A través de simbolismos se muestran algunas escenas de la vida en los campos de concentración nazis. Empezando desde la izquierda, una columna de personas accede al centro de confinamiento pasando bajo un zorro. En la parte central se muestran varias locomotoras como las que transportaban presos hasta los campos, y entre el humo producido por estas aparece un triángulo rojo invertido. Este emblema era el reservado para los presos políticos en el sistema de marcado nazi, y la letra se utilizaba para mostrar el origen del detenido. En este caso, la S señalaba a quienes la portaban como republicanos españoles (Republikanische Spanier). El mural continúa con una alegoría del trabajo forzado en las canteras, y concluye con una serie de objetos de forma cúbica suspendidos en el aire. |
