Notes

German percussion musket, circa 1840 Possibly a New Zealand Wars trade musket One of five old muskets presented by John Cullen, the Inspector of Police who was involved in the arrest of Rua Kenana for sedition in 1916. Note- the suggestion has also been made that these may be muskets confiscated during the 'Dog Tax Rebellion' at Waima.
