Slovenščina: Jaber El Masry, Zavod Nur. Namen shoda proti nasilju nad Palestinci je bil izraziti nesoglasje z nedoslednostjo in neskladnostjo EU politike, ki po eni strani obsoja izraelsko kršenje mednarodnega prava, po drugi pa z Izraelom goji tesne gospodarske odnose. Izraelska vojska je 8. julija 2014 začela z bombnimi napadi na Gazo kot odgovor na umor treh izraelskih najstnikov, za kar krivi palestinsko gibanje Hamas, ki nadzoruje območje Gaze, danes največji zapor na svetu. Dosedanji poskusi za dosego premirja so propadli. Protest sta organizirala Gibanje za pravice Palestincev BDS Slovenija in Zavod Nur. Organizatorji so vabili tudi k podpisu peticije, ki je pozivala slovenske politične predstavnike, naj zahtevajo takojšnjo prekinitev nasilja in kolektivno kaznovanje Palestincev, ki ju izvaja Izrael, in pozovejo institucije EU k strožjim političnim in ekonomskim ukrepom proti Izraelu, dokler ta ne konča vseh svojih vojaških operacij in prične spoštovati mednarodno pravo. |
