Summary[edit]
DescriptionNematode on Galleria mellonella (01).jpg | Nematodes on Galleria mellonella. Its a very interesting symbiotic relationship between the nematode and the associated bacteria which is carried within the nematode. The nematode enters the insect, releases the bacteria which produces an antibacterial compound within the insect, killing all other bacterial species except for itself(its resistant). With no competition, the bacteria explodes in population, feeding on the insect. The Nematodes feed exclusively on this bacteria, which also has a large increase in numbers |
