At various intervals are placed arunning deer target, a tramp or moving mantarget, and a ringing target, in the last of which abell is rung when the centre is struck. A fine clock-faced wind dial is placed at a conspicuous point toshow the marksmen the direction of the wind, andnumerous flags and streamers are planted along therange for the same purpose. Frequent shooting matches are held at Creedmoorduring the year, and draw large crowds from NewYork, Brooklyn, and the surrounding country.
