English: Niels Petur Nolsøe (NePtuN) is a Faroese poet from Vágur. He published his first book with poems in 2004. The book was called Smátúgvur. He was working as a teacher for many years in the School of Vágur, now he is retired. He has written poem, which later have become popular songs, especially in his village, i.e. a song written about his village Vágur, song by Hans Jacob Hjelm. It starts with "Millum fagrastu blettar...". In 2002 he wrote a poem for the local rowing club in Vágur, Vágs Kappróðrarfelag, when one of their boats Smyril, won the Faroese Championship. Hans Jacob Hjelm composed a melody for the poem and the song was recorded with Hans Jacob Hjelm as singer. The song is called "Sigurskvæði til Vágs Kappróðrarfelag", it is played in the Faroese radio when a boat from Vágur wins a boat race (kappróður). Nolsøe writes poems about the nature, about politics, people, etc.

Hann hevur ofta staðið á palli í VB-húsinum til veitslur saman við Robert Mc'Birnie, Petur Nolsøe og øðrum og skemtast. Hann hevur skrivað nýggjan Vágssang, sum Hans Jacob Hjelm syngur og hevur gjørt lag til. Hann hevur eisini yrkt "Sigurskvæði til VKR" sum er sangur til Vágs Kappróðarfelag. Hann yrkti sangin í 2002 eftir at 6-mannafarið Smyril vann FM. Sangurin var tó ikki innspældur fyrr enn í 2003. Hans Jacob W. Hjelm syngur og hevur gjørt lagið. Niels Petur Nolsøe hevur givið eitt yrkingasavn út, tað nevnist "Smátúgvur" og kom út í 2004. Hann hevur eisini yrkt nógv sum ikki er komið út í bók. |
