English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented. Removal of the Royal Dutch Indian Army (KNIL): Dissolution ceremony at Djakarta in the official residence of the Dutch High Commissioner, dr. H. Hirschfeld on 26 July. Also a wreath laying ceremony (on 25 July) at the honorary military cemetery Menteng Pulo. SHOTS: 00:02 DISSOLUTION CEREMONY: present are a.o. the Indonesian prime minister Mohammad Hatta and other prominent Indonesian politicians, a delegation of the KNIL, and high civil and military authorities. Speech by the commander of the Dutch Armed Forces in Indonesia, general D.C. Buurman van Vreeden (in Dutch and Indonesian), and Hirschfeld. The latter announces among other things that Buurman van Vreeden and general-major D.R.A. van Langen from the KNIL will be royally honoured. 02:46 WREATH LAYING: ext. buildings; soldiers stand to attention or present their rifles; Buurman van Vreeden lays a wreath on the base of a flag pole; the attendants make a walk round the cemetery; the soldiers bring a military salute to the grave of general S.H. Spoor; close ups of some grave crosses.

Opheffing van het Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger (KNIL): ontbindingsceremonie te Djakarta in de ambtswoning van de Nederlandse Hoge Commissaris, dr. H. Hirschfeld op 26 juli. Tevens een kranslegging (op 25 juli) op de militaire erebegraafplaats Menteng Pulo. SHOTS: 00:02 ONTBINDINGSCEREMONIE: aanwezig zijn oa de Indonesische minister-president Mohammad Hatta en andere vooraanstaande Indonesische politici, een afvaardiging van het KNIL, en hoge burgerlijke en militaire autoriteiten. Toespraak door de commandant van de Nederlandse legerstrijdkrachten in Indonesië, generaal D.C. Buurman van Vreeden (in het Nederlands en het Indonesisch), en Hirschfeld.
