OF THE FREE MARTIN. . 6^ There was on the fide of the uterus an interrupted vas deferens brokenoff in feveral places. Behind the bladder, or between that and the vagina, were the bagscalled veficuls feminales; between which were the terminations of thetwo vafa deferentia. The dudls of the bags, and the vafa deferentia, opened as in the laftinftance. This could not be called an exadl mixture of all the parts of both (exes,for here was no appearance of tefticles. The female parts were imperfeft, and there Vvas the addition of part ofthe vafa deferentia, and the bags called veficul^ feminales. This circumftance of having no tefticles, perhaps, was the reafon whyit had more the external appearance of an heifer than what they com-monly have, and more than either of the two former. IC .^ ii
