日本語: コンポーネント映像端子
（機種：Sony製DVDプレーヤー DVP-NS53P）
English: Output connector for digital audio (TOSLINK) on Sony DVP-NS53P DVD player from 2005. The red light comes from the LED (660 nanometer wavelength) used for optical data transmission via TOSLINK using an encapsulated (plastic coated) optical fiber, the LED typically being always on in devices with such connectors. To avoid irritation or disturbance by the red light especially at night, there are small black dummy plug-like caps on TOSLINK connectors on new devices, which tend to get lost over time due to their approx. cubic size of ~8 mm.
