It hastwo large docks—Nos. 11 and 14—whichare now in operation, and which have af-forded considerable relief to the docks inthe Port of Colon, proper, which latter havebeen unable to cope with the increased de-mands of the shipping lately. The docksare provided with a Cantilever-Crane forthe handling of ordinary cargoes, and aBrown-Hoist Coal Plant for the dischargeof colliers. For the past year or so, Cristobal hasbeen making rapid strides in the way of ex-pansion toAvards the district known as FoxRiver, which she is so steadily absorbingthat she now shows signs of finally converg-ing into Mount Hope, a village some twomiles distant from Colon, and where an ex-
