English: Parasol, black Chantilly lace mounted on yellow satin and taffeta lining, carved ivory knob and shaft as a roped necklace, silk tassels and carved gilt mounts. note found with object reads- 'T1100, Small Parasol - England c1900. presented Mr. A. McMillan - black chantilly lace (handmade) mounted on - yellow satin - ivory knob and shaft with silk - tassels and gilt mounts. .60 long. - condition- fine - unused. some split lace. - "presented by the royal family to a resident at Kensington Palace".'
