Description
English: GER W class 2-2-2 nr. 299 designed by Sinclair and built by Schneider & Company in Le Creusot, France. This locomotive was exhibited at the Exposition Universelle at Paris in 1867. Thirty-one were built and several were rebuilt and converted to 4-2-2s between 1872 and 1873. The class were all withdrawn by 1894. Engraving published in The Engineer at August 30, 1867.
