Summary[edit]

Description Philipps-Haus, Marburg, Universitätsstr. 32. Das Philippshaus ist durch eine Initiative aus dem Jahr 1904 entstanden. In jenem Jahr feierte die Stadt Marburg den 400. Geburtstag des Landgrafen Philipp. Aus diesem Anlass trafen sich damals zu verschiedenen Anlässen Vertreter aus der lutherischen und der reformierten Kirchengemeinde. Man wollte sich an die Offenheit des Landgrafen gegenüber den reformatorischen Bestrebungen Luthers in Wittenberg wie auch Zwinglis in Zürich erinnern.
