tig 4y. — Portique du grand théâtre; plus tard caserne des gladiateurs (p. Entourant une area de forme rectangulaire, de 46 mètres 60 sur34 mètres 80, il comprend 74 colonnes doriques hautes de 3 mètres 60,recouvertes de stuc peint, lisses à la partie inférieure, cannelées à lapartie supérieure (voy. fig. 47, p. 88). Il communiquait, par un autreportique beaucoup moins grand, avec le grand théâtre et, par un escalier,avec son postscénium. Un large passage lunissait au petit théâtre.
