Description
English: A tall, imposing specimen of a desert poplar (Populus pruinosa), occurring on sandy, alkaline wastes. The wood is used very much the same as that of Populus diversifolia. Deserves to be tested as a lumber and fuel tree on sandy, alkaline wastes in the S.W. U.S. Near Yarkend, Chinese Turkestan. December 14, 1910
