English: Lead

Shot. Cast shot, probably for a fowling piece. With a faint mould line and a scar from the nipping of ball from sprue. Two slightly flattened areas may represent impact, and possibly the ramming of the ball. The dark surface of the ball lacks significant patination. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800.

Diameter: 12.0mm, Weight: 9.51gms.
