Title
Post-Medieval Medal
Description
English: Lead alloy Medal. Milled discoid medal. The poor condition vitiates attempts to decipher a wordy text, though this reporter would be keen to learn of a better preserved example. The word COOPERATIVE may appear at the start of a closely spaced text.

Obverse description: Medallion with supporting scrolls, about 10 lines of text below.

Reverse description: Riverside view, comprising a background of buildings, a river with sail and steam powered traffic, and a foreground perhaps depicting a wharf with a crane or gallows, probably the former but resembling the latter!

Suggested date: Post-Medieval to Modern, 1875-1910.

Diameter: 44mm, Thickness: 3.9mm, Weight: 29.40gms, die axis: 12.
