Description
English: A post-medieval copper-alloy commemorative medal issued to mark the death of Queen Charlotte dating to c. 1818.

The object measures 24.6mm in diameter, has a thickness of 1.3mm, and weighs 4.9g. The surface worn on reverse side.

Obverse description:- Female bust facing right.

Obverse inscription :- H M G M QUEEN CHARLOTTE.

Reverse description:- An epitaph to the Queen.

Reverse inscription:- On top edge of token, BORN MAY 1744, and then below - QUEEN CHARLOTTE. MARRIED SEPT 30,1761. DIED NOV 17, 1818. AFTER A VIRTUOUS REIGN WITH HER BELOVED KING.
