Summary[edit]

Description
English: This was the first issue of the Power of Women journal published in April/May of 1974. The journal was printed by Falling Wall Press in Bristol run by Suzie Fleming and organized from London by Selma James and other group members internationally. The first issue collects research, articles and personal statements including the "Statement of the International Feminist Collective" co-authored in 1972 in Padua Italy by a group including Selma James, Mariarosa Dalla Costa, Silvia Federici and Brigitte Galtier that helped to launch the international Wages for Housework movement.
